Everyone's favorite slideshow cum potluck dinner event is back in NYC. Of course there is a twist or two. This time around Slideluck Potshow is teaming up with the New York Photo Festival. Also, Slideluck Potshow is aiming to break the record for the largest potluck on Earth. Currently, a potluck held in Phoenix, AZ has all the full guts and resplendent glory. While the Phoenix potluck was sponsored by Promise margarine, this potluck will rely on the use of local and seasonal good food.

Come Volunteer at Ujima Garden - Slow Food NYC's Neighborhood Farm in Brownsville

We have 3 workdays coming up where we will be preparing our expanding farm for our summer program. This summer we will host 100 children who will learn about good food by growing it, harvesting it, preparing it and eating it together. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET THE GARDEN READY FOR OUR KIDS

WORKDAY 1 - Saturday April 16th
Build Earth Boxes (self watering containers) from 55 gallon pickle barrels
Remediate and loosen the soil with fresh compost.
Plant early crops:
