This month we've teamed up with two more of our like-minded friends to bring you a wine tasting complimentary of Jamesport Vineyards in the North Fork, as well as Slow Food USA. In line with the values of The New Deal, a Slow Food membership cost is a pay-what-you-can throughout the month of September and we are proud to have Slow Food at our table. More information will be available at The New Deal.

ABOUT SLOW FOOD USA
Slow Food USA seeks to create dramatic and lasting change in the food system. We reconnect Americans with the people, traditions, plants, animals, fertile soils and waters that produce our food. We inspire a transformation in food policy, production practices and market forces so that they ensure equity, sustainability and pleasure in the food we eat.
Food is a common language and a universal right. Slow Food USA envisions a world in which all people can eat food that is good for them, good for the people who grow it and good for the planet.
ABOUT JAMESPORT VINEYARDS
Jamesport Vineyards is a father-son collaboration that began in 1981 at Early Rising Farm in Cutchogue, New York, making Jamesport Vineyards one of the North Fork's oldest vineyards. Jamesport uses only their own high-quality fruit for producing award winning wines. Not only is Jamesport Vineyards a family operation, they have also taken on the challenge of incorporating environmentally and economically sound production practices in the management of vine growth, weeds, diseases, insects, and soil fertility.
ABOUT BARRETT LINDGREN
Barrett Lindgren is a very busy young man. At just shy of twenty years old, he has self produced and released three albums, his first at fifteen. After relocating to Philadelphia two years ago, Lindgren began making a name for himself in the DIY music scene by abstaining from playing on stage with microphones, and instead opting to play acoustic in the middle of his audience, no matter the size. This unorthodox approach to performing allows the audience to become a part of the show. Instead of feeling like a spectator, every audience member is encouraged to join in by stomping, clapping and singing along.
